Library Policies and Procedures
Hours:
- The library is open from 7:30 am until 2:30 pm daily when Ms. Rogers (or a covering teacher) is present.
- The library is occasionally reserved for meetings, testing, or other events. Please be considerate of others, and do not enter the library when the "closed" signs are posted.
Circulation:
- Books may be checked out for a period of three weeks, and may be renewed.
- Please return books on time and in good condition. Fines will be charged for damaged and lost materials only.
- Historical yearbooks are for in-library use only, and cannot be checked out.
Passes:
- During the school day, students must have a pass to the library, signed by a subject teacher, guidance counselor, or administrator.
- Students will sign in and out at the circulation desk.
- Students using the library during the lunch periods are asked to remain in the library for the entire class period. Attendance will be taken at several points during the period.
Computers:
- Six desktop computers are available for academic use and printing.
- All district computer policies apply to computer/technology use in the library.
Food and Drink:
- Food and beverages are not permitted in the library at this time. Students visiting the library during their lunch period are encouraged to eat in the cafeteria before coming to the library.
Printing and Photocopies:
- Printing is available at no cost. Please see the main desk for assistance.
Personal Mobile Devices (Cellphones, tablets, headphones/earbuds, etc.)
- Students visiting the library independently may use cellphones, mobile/gaming devices and headphones in a responsible manner that does not disturb those around them. Permitted cell phone uses DO NOT include phone/video calls, photography, video recording, or any other use in violation of district policy. All devices should be set to silent.
- Teachers' individual classroom policies will be followed for classes using the library.
- School and district acceptable use policies will be enforced.
- Please do not leave personal devices unattended.
