Library Mission and Vision

Vision Statement

The library media center program is central to the development of lifelong readers, learners, and effective users of information at Steinert High School.  The library media center supports the district's curricula through collaborative and cross-curricular instruction, and access to a rich collection of traditional and electronic resources.

Mission Statement

The library media center supports the intellectual curiosity and emotional development of students, enabling them to build knowledge actively, across the curriculum, in a safe environment. In collaboration with faculty, we address the individual needs of students, facilitating personal discovery through targeted interventions and opportunities for meaningful, authentic research. Our goal is to engage students in the discovery of ideas, empower students through information literacy, and prepare students for effective and responsible participation in a rapidly changing world.
