COMPLETE ENGLISH PLACEMENT TEST

- Exemptions from the placement test include:
- A score of 480 or higher on the Evidence Based Reading and Writing (ERW) SAT. (If applicable, send your SAT score report using CollegeBoard.)
- A score of 22 or higher on the Reading section of the ACT. (If applicable, send your ACT score report using ACT.org.)
- If you have taken AP tests, please send your official College Board results to registrar@mccc.edu.
- If you have taken dual enrollment course(s) while in high school from an institution other than Mercer, please send official transcripts to registrar@mccc.edu.

Hello Seniors!
Here are some important updates concerning students who wish to attend Mercer County Community College next year.
If you are attending Mercer County Community College (MCCC) in the summer or fall of 2024, please make sure to do the following:
- Apply to MCCC using their online application
- Contact your counselor to have your Steinert transcript sent to MCCC: Steinert HS Transcript Request Website Information (Step #2)
- Determine if you need to take a placement test for English at MCCC
You do not need to take a placement test if you received a 480 or greater on the EBRW (Reading/Writing) Section of the SAT.
If you did not take the SAT, or did not get a score of 480 or greater on the EBRW, you will need to take a placement test.

- If you do not need to take a placement: you can start the process for registration of your classes. You will need to share your SAT scores with admiss@mccc.edu so please download a copy of your SAT score report from your College Board account.
Registration Information:
Fall 2024 registration at Mercer County College began on April 15th. You may register by visiting the Enrollment Center at MCCC for one on one help with registration OR you can begin the process by completing the Registration Form: Graduating High School Senior Registration Preferences link here:Mercer County Community College Fall 2024 Graduating Senior Registration Google Form . You will need to use a personal email address, not your HTSD student gmail account to do this.
The MCCC advisors will begin processing registrations in the order they are received. Please take note of the information located on the registration form. You must have an application, placement test, and transcript on file in order to be registered.
Any requested changes to the created schedule will need to be done by emailing admiss@mccc.edu, meeting with a Mercer representative at the High School during a pre-planned visit, or visiting the Enrollment Center at the West Windsor Campus. We encourage you to make changes as early as possible to ensure you are able to register for the classes you want to get into.
Mercer’s visit to your high school will likely not happen until late May; The Guidance Department will announce the date of the visit as soon as it is determined.
